| The Tridents were very busy in July! July saw a strong Trident contingent journey to Vineman for the Vineman Ironman 70.3 event. Todd Allington competed in the Men's 40-44 age group with a strong performance (10th place) qualifying for the 70.3 World Championships being held in Las Vegas. Congratulations Todd! Paul Keefer, Todd Heinzen, Russ Price and Jon Morrison also made the trip to Sonoma County. Congratulations to Todd H., Paul and Russ for completing their first Half Ironman! Veteran Jon Morrison had a great race taking a cool 31 minutes off of his best time. Great work Jon! The July Tri For Fun saw some great performances, as well, with Jason Walter smoking the field for a 3rd place overall finish (1st place AG). Additionally, Jason Perry had an excellent performance visiting the podium with a 3rd place finish in the Clydesdale Division. Dean Hopkins also broke into one of the top spots in the Clydesdale Division with a strong 9th place showing. The same weekend saw Dave Serena pull out a 10th place age group finish in the Tri for Real Olympic Distance race on Sunday. Journeying up the hill to the Donner Lake Olympic Distance Triathlon on July 17th, Garrett Brandenburger had a fantastic race with a 4th place finish in the men's 30-34 division.
